Introduction

At Unique Solicitors, our Immigration Team has enough experience in successfully dealing with a wide range of Immigration Applications. We offer professional immigration service with affordable fixed fee for all our immigration clients.

​

Because of our dedicated service to our clients, over 90% of our Immigration works stem from our existing client base.

​

We are able to provide you a fixed estimate for your immigration application since we are specialised in Immigration matters. Please also note that we do not charge hidden extra costs.

​

At Unique Solicitors, we will always provide you with an individual costs quotation at the start of a transaction, taking into account the actual features of your immigration application. We will always advise you immediately about any unexpected complications, and fully discuss the potential cost implications before any additional charges are incurred.

​

We, Unique Solicitors do not pay any referral fees.

​

The above quoted fee cover all of the work as set out below regarding your immigration application including submitting your application to the Home Office and up to the receipt of the decision from the Home Office regarding your application.

  • Taking your instructions.

  • Discussing your circumstances in details and confirming whether this is the most appropriate application for you to make and what other options may be available to you.

  • Giving you advice about the requirements of the Immigration Rules and you meet the criteria

  • Considering the supporting evidence you have provided.

  • Where necessary, helping you obtain further evidence (such as medical records and bank statements) including taking statements of any witnesses.

  • Preparing your application (postal or online) and submitting it on your behalf.

  • Giving you advice about the outcome of the application and any further steps you need to take.

Disbursements

​

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as visa fees. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.

 

The costs quoted above do not include any Home Office fees https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/visa-regulations-revised-table for making the application. You will pay this to the Home Office directly as part of the application process.

 

The above quoted fee also do not include our attendance at a Home Office interview and the fee where the Home Office refuse your application, advice and assistance in relation to any appeal.

 

Please note that our fixed fee for the attendance including travel expenses at a Home Office interview is £300.00 per an attendance whether it is for an hour or a whole day.

 

 

How long will my immigration matter take?

​

We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application. Read the current processing time https:www.gov.uk/visa-processing-times.

​

The average process takes between 3 to 6 months.

​

We will normally be able to submit your application within 2 to 3 weeks from the receipt of your instructions and the required documents, but we will let you know at the earliest opportunity if it is likely to take longer than this.

​

Please note that the above fees are an estimate based on the facts above. All applications are likely to vary and of course, we can give you a more accurate estimate once we have more information about your specific case.

We have two members of the team who may work on your matter, regardless of who work on your matter, Indika Kommalage, Partner and Head of Immigration of the firm will supervise the team.

Indika K Kommalage- Director / Solicitor

​

Indika is the Head of our Immigration Team and has more than 11 years’ experience in private client work. Indika has been working in this area since he qualified, and he has served hundreds of clients. Indika has obtained LLB and LLM (in Business Law) degrees and he qualified as a solicitor on 16 February 2009. Indika speaks fluent in Sinhala.

Kamala Ravindran- Directot / RFL

​

Kamala has obtained LLB and LLM degrees and she has been working as a case worker in the Immigration Department of the firm over 6 years. Kamala speak fluent in Tamil and Sinhala.     

 

                                               

Our complaints procedure:

​

We want to give you the best possible service. However, if at any point you become unhappy or concerned about the service, we provided then you should inform us immediately, so that we can do our best to resolve the problem.

 

In the first instance it may be helpful to contact the person who is working on your case to discuss your concerns and we will do our best to resolve any issues. If you are still not satisfied, you can make a formal complaint, then you can read our formal complaint procedure

                              Making a complaint will not affect how we handle your case.

What to do if we cannot resolve your complaint

​

The Legal Ombudsman can help you if we are unable to resolve your complaint ourselves. They will look at your complaint independently and it will not affect how we handle your case.

 

Before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If  you have, then you must take your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman:

​

  • Within six months of receiving a final response from us to your complaint: and

  • No more than six years from the date of act/omission; or

  • No more than three years from when you should reasonably have known there was cause for complaint.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic.
